Kilkenny based songwriter, producer, and visual artist, Tanoki, collabs with North Carolina MC, Tay Edwards, on their latest single “It Has Begun.” Tanoki laid down masterful production on this track and with the help of Tay Edwards the duo has created a unique sounds between hip-hop, indie rock, and electro. “It Has Begun” is a track about technology and how it is shaping our past, present, and future, asking “What does the future hold for our innovation? ”
Tanoki (Paul Mahon) is a producer and visual artist from Kilkenny, Ireland. Previously releasing music and visual projects under the title Geppetto, he has taken part in various festivals and been involved in the arts scene in Ireland for many years. His music weaves the line between electro, trip-hop and funk with cinematic and jazz elements. With a rich history of visual collaboration and video edit work for the likes of Linkin Park, Walking on Cars, Bantum, Loah, RSAG, GodKnows, and Jerry Fish more, musical inspiration was never too far. With a worldwide pandemic and time to knuckle down the debut album, File New emerged.
