Hip-hop group The Mutanoid Underground Dwellers have released their new single, “Eet Da Rych.” The duo, comprised of ILL Fortune and Enokh Xmortiz, created this group as a tribute to 80s horror, 90s cartoons, and unfiltered lyrical hip-hop. Their debut album, also titled “Eet Da Rych,” not only tells a comical horror story but also creates a universe ripe for expansion.
The music videos they produce resemble episodic adventures in the lives of the Mutanoids. In this particular episode, the MUD boys have kidnapped a corrupt billionaire CEO with the intention of literally “eating the rich.” Although the video is quite gory, it employs satire and comedy to maintain a lighthearted tone. The message is clear: even the darker corners of society are not remaining passive in this rap/punk mix.
