Sarafin, Yung Papi Bonito, and RTC Profit prove that they’ve “Came A Long Way” and will continue paving their own path on the latest single produced by Sarafin. “Came A Long Way” is a testament to staying in your own lane, following your heart through hard times and persevering even when it feels like the world is on your shoulders.
Musically, this track is set to smooth and melodic backdrop. Lyrically it is kicked-off with a mellow hook followed by each artist spitting a verse about where they started, where they’ve been, and where they are headed.
When asked about the meaning behind the track, each artist had a unique response and it is these perceptions which lead to such a unique song.
“Growing up as a kid I felt constantly undermined which eventually
lead to my departure from Calgary. In the search to find myself, I
discovered a constant race against my doubts and I wasn’t quite
ready to take second place. Came a long way is a special project
to me as it’s a reflection of something I once believed to be out of
reach; a semi-animated music video with an insight to the kid within
us all.” – Sarafin
“We can all agree that as kids, we couldn’t wait to gain a taste of
independence because it brought a sense of freedom. The freedom to do as we
desire, learn from our experiences, and chase after heights that only a few dare
to reach. If you know me, then you know I’m a very creative person all around;
Some would say that’s just who I am, but a great deal of my creativity is inspired
by my love for ANIME. This is why I’m beyond excited to begin sharing content from
my latest collaboration with my brothers Sarafin and Profit.” – Yung Papi Bonito
“Been Krillin’em since youth and that’s on god. No
matter the situation, moment, or event, I’ve been
blessed with the gift and curse to call things as
they appear. A journey that’s been fueled by
experiences masked with pain, joy, and knowledge
which has inspired me to be the man I currently
am” – RTC Profit
