Northampton, United Kingdom-based DJ and producer Mark Ski collaborates with Rasheed Chappell on their new single “Back In The Day”. Mark Ski is a founding member of the local music scene and has worked with various national and international Hip-Hop artists as a DJ and producer. His debut album ‘Catch-REC’ received praise from legendary DJs such as DJ Premier and DJ Eclipse, as well as recognition from reputable outlets like Insomniac Magazine and UGHH. Mark Ski’s forthcoming sophomore album ‘RECLESS’ features the first single “Back In The Day”, a collaboration with Rasheed Chappell from New Jersey. In this new track, Rasheed reflects on his experiences growing up during Hip-Hop’s formative years in New Jersey while Mark Ski’s production sets the tone with a funky Boom Bap sound. “Back In The Day” evokes images of park jams, flat top haircuts, playing basketball, and the fashion of the era, with Mark Ski adding classic DJ cuts inspired by that time.
