North Carolina rapper, V takes on organized religion in his latest video, “No Church On Sunday.” V prefers to consider himself a revolutionary, or as he would state, “an “Artivist,” and not the typical rap artist. V is associated with the 40 Million Strong movement, and is also known as Big M.
“No Church On Sunday” was recorded at Sup’s Kitchen Studio in Grifton, NC. V says, “‘No Church On Sunday’ is about the awakening of an entire nation of people and beyond.” and V’s flows over bass-heavy production by Sammy Samples certainly does awaken the ear and mind.
The video for the song was shot and edited by Mike King which provides a very fitting visual backdrop. You can watch the video for “No Church On Sunday” below, as well as stream the single on Louder Than A Riot: Political Hip-Hop.
