Originating from Ontario, Canada, emcees, Pats & The KYD have debuted their long-awaited collaborative album, PK All Day. The production on this album is primarily boom-bap and golden era style beats and features work from beatmakers, Buckroll, Beatsmith, and DJ Pain 1. Pats & The KYD grew up together in Chatham, Ontario and began rapping together in high school. Pats currently resides in Vancouver, and says that he was heavily influenced be artists such as Mac Miller, Cam Meekins, The Palmer Squares, and Kixxie Siete. The KYD now lives in London, Ontario and grew up inspired by emcees Nas, AZ, Eminem, Kool G Rap, Big Pun, and Black Thought. Varying influences helped lead to the sounds heard on PK ALL Day as the tracks are clearly influenced by the golden era of hip-hop, but is still relatable to newer generations.
PK All Day by Pats & The KYD was released to digital streaming platforms on April 13th, 2022 and is now playing on Fresh Kicks: Boom Bap.
